Records you will require:

Ship Construction Records:

     Did your client serve in the United States Navy on board a naval ship?

     Did your client work at a shipyard during any phase of ship construction?

You will require naval ship records which will detail the manufacturers of potentially asbestos-containing products and equipment that were installed on the ship during its construction.

Ship Repair and Maintenance Records for specific years:

     Did you client serve in the United States Navy on board a naval ship?

     Did your client work at a naval shipyard on a naval ship?

You will require naval ship records which will detail the repairs and new installation of potentially asbestos-containing products and equipment that took place during the specific time frame of your client's naval service or shipyard work.

Muster Rolls:

     Did your client serve in the United States Navy on board a naval ship?

     Is he or she unable to provide you with valuable testimony?

You will require muster rolls which will establish the time frame that your client served on board the ship. These records wll also help facilitate a search for a fellow shipmate of your client who may be able to testify on your client's behalf.
